The Ionia Daily Standard, Monday, November 4, 1918
The remains of Percy Middleton, son of Mrs. D. E. Prentiss, who died at the 
hospital at Charleston, W. Va., will arrive tonight, and will be taken to the 
Bradley mortuary, where the funeral services will be held Tuesday at two 
o’clock.  Rev. Branch will officiate and the interment will be in Orleans 
cemetery.

Subsequent Publication:  Thursday, November 14, 1918

Mrs. Fred Prentiss went to Detroit today to see her daughter, Mrs. Helen 
Harrington, who is very low with influenza.  Mrs. Prentiss is the mother of 
Percy Middleton, the draftee who died at the Red Cross hospital at Charleston, 
W. Va., two weeks ago today.
