Helen F. (Roomsburg) Mier, 90, of Ionia passed away Monday, Aug. 24, 1998, in 
Ionia.  She was born Aug. 11, 1908, in Mecosta county, the daughter of 
Demetrius and Carrissa (Reiley) Robinson.  She married Leon Roomsburg Feb. 7, 
1927, in Ionia.  He preceded her in death in 1961.  She married Harold Mier 
Sr. Feb. 9, 1970, in Ionia.  He preceded her in death in 1976.  She was a 
member of the Church of the Nazarene.

She is survived by one daughter, Ida (Russell) Nielson of Ionia; 
grandchildren, Leon (Carol) Nielson of Belding, Helen (Gordy) Douglas of 
Orleans, Russell Nielson Jr. of Ionia; four great-grandsons and one great-
granddaughter.

Funeral services for Mrs. Mier will be held Wednesday, Aug. 26, at 1 p.m. at 
the Lake Funeral home in Ionia, with Rev. Kirk Starkweather officiating.  
Interment will be at Highland Park Cemetery.  Visitation will be held at 10 
a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.  Anyone wishing may 
make contributions to the Church of the Nazarene.
