IONIA - Louise May Mier, 71, of Ionia died Saturday at the Ionia Manor.

She was born July 18, 1922, the daughter of Ney and Jocie Williams Bogert in 
Bloomer Township and was married to Dale Mier, March 18, 1938, in Ionia.  He 
preceded her in death.

She was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Ionia where she helped 
with the Cradle Roll and was active in the Ionia Brownies.  She worked for 
ashort time at the Vogue Shop and also was a cashier at the Ionia Kroger store.

Surviving are two daughters, seven half sisters,and three half brothers.

Funeral services and committal were held Monday at Cook Funeral Home with the 
Rev. James Bennett officiating.  Burial will be in the spring in Palo Cemetery.
