Ionia Sentinel Standard, 21 Jul 1952

Mrs. Cassie Mier, 65, of 622 Jones street died at the University hospital, Ann
Arbor, Sunday, July 20, at 1:30 p.m. after being there for three weeks.  She was
born in Mecosta county August 28, 1886, Cassie Carolyn Collins.  On February 14,
1904, she married John Mier, who survives her.

Surviving besides the husband are two daughters, Mrs. Alice Paulson of Marshalltown,
Iowa, and Mrs. Irene Brogs of Cadillac; two sons, Henry of Lansing and Dale of
Ionia; ten grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three sisters, Reva Marlette of
Lansing, Goldie Stewart of Ithaca and Elaine Crosby of Vestaburg.

Services will be held at the Myers funeral home Tuesday at 2 p.m.  Burial will be in
Chapel Hill cemetery, Lansing.
