She was born at Harvard, Michigan, July 4, 1889 and had lived in Belding for the past 42 years. A member of the Belding Church of God, she had worked at the Belding Hospital. April 20, 1914, she married Charles A. Mier who survives her. Other survivers are four sons, Joseph Zerba, Charles Mier of Grand Rapids, and Albert and Fred Mier both of Belding; one brother George Salyer of Belding; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and two great great-grandchildren. Funeral services were Wednesday at 2 p.m. from the Huffman Funeral Home in Belding with Rev. Marvin L. Moser from the First Church of God officiating. Burial was in the River Ridge Cemetery. Pall bearers were Glen Holcomb, John Lyons, John Tischler, Lynn Higgins, Claude Johnson and Orville Thompson.
