Ionia Sentinel-Standard - July 1999


Mrs. Yolanda M. Mileski, 72, of Ionia passed away Friday, July 23, 1999 at the 
Breton Manor in Kentwood.

She was born the daughter of Bernard and Bertha (Hermans) Smith, April 20, 1927 
in Ionia.

She was co-owner of Mileski Grocery Store in Ionia. She worked for 17 years for 
the Department of Corrections in Ionia. She was a member of SS. Peter and Paul 
Catholic Church in Ionia and a member of the Rosary Circle. 

Surviving are three sons, Bernard (Sharon) Mileski of Burlington, John 
(Christine) Mileski of Saranac and Edgar Mileski of Ionia; two daughters, Juli 
(Richard) Houchin of Herber Springs, Ark. and Annette (Daniel) Scheid of Grand 
Rapids; 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Francis in 1995, her son 
Robert Mileski in 1976, her granddaughter Lisa Mileski in 1991, and her brother 
Edgar Smith in 1939.
