The Belding Banner, Thursday, December 19, 1901

The many friends of Mrs. T. B. Millard will regret to learn of her death which 
occurred this morning at about 8 o’clock.  She has not been able to leave her 
home for some three years or more on account of her disease, a cancer, but as 
she and her husband have resided here twenty-three years, she was well known 
to all the older residents.

Mrs. Mary J. Millard was born in Livingston Co., New York, and was 78 years of 
age.  She was married to Mr. Millard 55 years ago and they were the parents of 
four children, two of whom died young and the other two are Lewis, residing in 
the first ward, and Jay, former principal of the public schools here but for 
quite a number of years a resident of California.  

The funeral services will be held at the home Friday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock 
and the remains will be taken to Pewamo Saturday morning for interment.
