She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Harter, late of Ronald, and after the death of her parents she made her home with Mr. and Mrs. Warren… [unreadable words]… her marriage, when they took up their residence on the Leander Millard farm, near Palo. She leaves two children, aged two years and three months, and three months, respectively. The remains were removed to the home Tuesday afternoon, and the funeral will take place at the Baptist church in Palo Friday afternoon at two o’clock. ---- Ivah Harter was born on a farm in Ronald township, Ionia county, April 14, 1894 and departed from this life April 23, 1918, at the age of 24 years. She was united in marriage to Mr. Eliot Millard No. 28, 1912, who took her a fair young bride to bless the home where she has ever since resided. Within that home peace and harmony found an abiding place because of her genial disposition. She was the one who helped to make life brighter and every one around her… [unreadable words]… she leaves a blessed and beautiful memory and you can truly say: “None knew her but to love her, or named her but to praise.” She leaves to mourn her departure devoted companion, two loving little daughters, and one sister, Mrs. Peter VanVleck, and a host of relations and friends.
