Millard died a few minutes after three o’clock on Tuesday afternoon, at the residence rooms over Dean & Eyster’s store, East Main and Jackson streets. He was aged 61 years, and came to Ionia some 12 years ago from North Plains, where he was a farmer many years and where he still owned the place. What work he died in Ionia was as a butcher and meat cutter in the employ of Jack Moore and Longe Bros. He was a member of the Masonic fraternity, belonging to the lodge at Pewamo, where the funeral service will be held at 10 o’clock on Thursday morning with the ritual service here before the funeral party leaves on 7:01 a.m. train. Besides the bereaved wife, deceased left one son, Ernest of this city, and Mrs. Ben Havens of Grand Rapids.
