Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, July 2, 1959
Eliot A. Millard, 69 of Star route, died Thursday morning at Butterworth 
hospital, Grand Rapids.

He was born in Ronald Township, Ionia county where he had lived all his life.  
He operated the Millard Hatchery and farmed for 35 yers.

In 1910, he was married to Iva Harter.  She died in 1918.  He was married in 
1921 to Kate Baxter, who survives him.

Surviving besides his wife are three daughters, Mrs. Kenneth Staines of 
Sheridan, Mrs. Floyd Rice of Ionia, and Mrs. Gene Kirby of Middleton, and 
eight grandchildren.

Funeral will be Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at Palo Baptist church with burial in Palo 
cemetery.

Arrangements are being made by Stebbins funeral home at Sheridan.
