Daily Standard, Sat., June 11, 1908
Mrs. Sarah Millard, widow of Leander Millard, and one of the oldest pioneers in 
the county, died at the home in Ronald last night. Her ages was 86 years, and 
she had been a resident of the county 70 years. She was a daughter of Mathew 
VanVleck. Her brother John was the first white man to locate in Ronald. She 
leaves three sons: Van V., and Seymour of Ronald, and Mathew of Grand Rapids. 
Funeral at the home in Ronald on Sunday at 3:30 sun time.
