Ionia Sentinel Standard, 7 Jan 1935

Funeral services were held from the Myers funeral home Saturday afternoon at 2
o’clock for Ernest Millard, who died Wednesday evening from injuries sustained three
weeks before when he was struck and knocked to the pavement by an Ionia taxicab. 
Rev. F.J. Fitch, of the Baptist church, conducted the services, and bearers were
Augustus Gott, Paul Warden, Fred Barnes, Eugene Hackett, Ernest Reed and Paul
Leslie.  Interment was at the family lot at Clear Lake cemetery.

The employes of Mr. Millard’s partment at the Ypsilanti Reed furniture factory and
his foremen [unreadable] departments of the factory, attended the services in a
body.  Also about 35 members of the CCW class of the Baptist church, of which Mrs.
Millard was a member, attended the services in a body.
