Ionia Daily Sentinel, 10 Aug 1906

Portland, Aug. 7. – Mathias Miller, who moved from his farm to this village last 
spring, died early Monday morning of cancer.  He came here for treatment.  
Funeral at St. Patrick’s church Wednesday morning, conducted by Rev. F. Auer.  
One brother, Frank Miller, of Portland, and two sisters, Mrs. Joseph Lehman, of 
Westphalia, and Mrs. Nicholas Lehman of Pewamo, survive.
