Roy Miller, age 87, of Ionia passed away Thursday, March 17, 2005 in Ionia.  He 
was born August 28, 1917 in Cedar Lake the son of George and Hazel (Borton) 
Miller.  He married Dorothy Blackmer July 18, 1938 who preceded him in death 
March 1, 1997.  Roy worked at the state Hospital for 25 years and Gibsons in 
Greenville prior to working for the State.

He is survived by his sons James (Maria) Miller of Alexandria, VA, Michael 
(Marie) Miller of Kalamazoo; brother, Cliff (Jane) Miller of Lyons; sister June 
Fitch of Lyons; sister-in-law Arlene Miller of Lyons; four grandchildren and 
ten great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his daughter Nancy Miller January 4, 2000; brother 
Glenn Miller and brother-in-law Bert Fitch.

Funeral services will be held 3 p.m., Monday at Lake Funeral Home in Ionia with 
Rev. Gary Akright officiating.  The family will receive friends and relatives 
Sunday 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and Monday 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the funeral home.  You 
may make memorial contributions to Lyons Baptist Church.
