Ionia Standard, 18 Oct 1911

Matthias Miller, an old soldier and long time engaged in farming near Ionia, died 
at two a.m., Friday at the home of his son Joseph, 313 Railroad street.  He was 
born in Germany in 1839, and was aged seventy-two years at the time of his 
death.  The funeral services were held at two o’clock Sunday afternoon, Dr. 
Callen officiating, and interment will be in Tuttle cemetery.
