William (Joe) Miller Jr., 52, of Lyons passed away Oct. 3, 2000 at Spectrum
Downtown.  He was born Dec. 10, 1947 in Lansing the son of William J. and
Waverly (Alspaugh) Miller Sr.  He was a Vietnam veteran serving in the army
where he received a Bronze Star.  He was a member of Lyons VFW Post 4646. 
Member of the Ionia Moose Lodge, UAW 652, NRA.  He was an avid hunter and loved
the outdoors.

He is survived by his parents, William and Waverly Miller of Ionia; sons, Joe
Miller III and his girlfriend, Laura Klunder of Ionia and RJ Miller of Lyons;
daughters, Jamie Price and boyfriend, Scott Cameron of Ionia and Sheryl (Joe)
Conley of Ionia; brothers, Perry (Joyce) Miller of Palo, Mitch Miller of Ionia
and Michael Miller of Ionia; sisters, Betty June Miller of Ionia, Jackie
(Robert) Adair of Ionia and Marcie (Don) Starkey of Ionia; grandsons,
Christopher Stevenson and Austin Wilson; grandmother, Esther Aspaugh of Grand
Ledge; special friend, Connie (Peaches) Confer of Muir, and many aunts, uncles,
nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday at Lake Funeral Home in Ionia
with Rev. Kenneth Harger of Shiloh Community Church officiating.  Military
services and interment will be in Lyons Cemetery.  Visitation will be at 7 p.m.
to 8:30 p.m., Thursday and 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., Friday at
the funeral home.  Anyone wishing may make memorial contributions to Lyons VFW.
