Miller, 62, of Clarksville, died suddenly at his cottage at Morrison lake Friday evening at 6:15 p.m. Mr. Miller was mowing the yard and went into the house where his wife found him dead of a heart attack, a short time later as reported by Coroner Dale Kauffman. He was born in Switzerland, November 17, 1904, the son of Frederick and Margaret Hein Miller. In March of 1916 he came to Michigan with his mother and family and resided with a sister, Mrs. Rose Wingeier, until 1919 when he moved to his farm south of Lowell on 52nd street. He was married to Dorothy Ward Strait of Vestaburg, December 25, 1938. In 1946 he opened a plumbing and heating business in Clarksville which he still operated at the time of his death. He was a member of Clarksville Businessman’s association. His wife, Dorothy, survives him and also three sons, Alfred of Grand Rapids, Keith of Lansing and Frederick stationed with the armed forces in Germany; seven grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Ernest Roth of Lowell. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Clarksville Bible church with Rev. Donald Mathis officiating and burial will be in Oakwood cemetery in Lowell. He will be at the Pickens funeral chapel in Clarksville.
