The Ionia Daily Standard, Wednesday, April 5, 1905

The remains of E. B. Miller arrived over Grand Trunk road, a little before 5 
last evening, accompanied by the widow, the adopted daughter, Charles F. 
Bathrick, a nephew, and the only blood relative so far as known, Mr. and Mrs. 
O. H. Dean, Mr. J. T. Webber, Mrs. A. B. Morse and Mrs. B. Babcock, the last 
two having gone to Detroit the day before to attend the funeral.  A large 
number of the old friends were at depot, in testimonial of their respect for 
decedent and sympathy for the bereaved family.  The remains were conveyed as 
once to Highland Park, accompanied by the funeral party and several of our 
citizens, H. Van Allen, A. S. Wright, Gen. J. H. Kidd, R. Babcock, T. G. 
Stevenson and J. C. Taylor acting as bearers.  A brief service was held at the 
grave, conducted by Rev. E. E. Branch, pastor of the Baptist church of Ionia, 
of which Mr. Miller was a member during his residence here.
