The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Tuesday, April 19, 1966

Fred C. Miller, 78, 424 Jones street, a lifelong resident of Ionia, died 
Monday noon at Ionia hospital.  He had been ill three days.

He was born August 7, 1887 in Ionia, the son of John and Caroline Leickfeld 
Miller, and attended St. John Lutheran and Ionia public schools.

Mr. Miller was marred in Ionia to Rose Hummell who died several years ago.  
Besides being a farmer he had been employed at Hayes-Ionia, and Ypsilanti 
Reed.  He was a member of St. John Lutheran church.

Surviving are one sister, Mrs. Herman Smith, Sr., and several nieces and 
nephews.

The Rev. Elmer Scheifer of St. Peter Lutheran church of Riley will officiate 
at services Wednesday at 2 p.m., at Myers funeral home with burial at Highland 
Park cemetery.
