Ionia Sentinel-Standard - March 13, 2007


David E. Miller, age 64, of Charlotte, died Sunday, March 11, 2007. Mr. Miller 
was born April 6, 1942 in Ionia, a son of August and Isabelle (McBrayne) 
Miller. He was an Army veteran of Vietnam, retired from G.M., was a member of 
U.A.W, #602 and the Ionia Moose Lodge.

Mr. Miller was preceded in death by an infant son, David Emory Miller, his 
father, August Miller and two brothers, Douglas and Gordon Miller.

Surviving are his wife, Karen; two sons, Steven of Vermontville and his special 
friend, Hannah Pierce and her children, Marrisa and Kolten Pierce, and Scott 
and Charlotte; two grandchildren, Garrett and Bryce Miller; mother, Isabelle 
Tyson of Jacksonville, Fla.; three brothers, Herman (Mickey) Miller of 
Jacksonville, Fl.; Fred (Sharleen) Miller of Ionia, Lawrence (Virginia) Miller 
of Giffen, GA; two half-sisters, Donna Miller and Joyce (Tim) Bolema, both of 
Muskegon, two half –brothers, August (Targa) Miller of Eaton Rapids and Robert 
(Lisa) Miller of Fruitport; a step-sister, Alberta (Mike) Leary of Ionia; two 
step-brothers, Glenn (Ann) Tyson of Belding and Orin (Davee) Tyson of Lansing; 
numerous nieces and nephews.

Services are 1 p.m. Wednesday at Barker-Leik Funeral Home, Mulliken, with 
Pastor Judy Scholten officiating. Interment will be in Meadowbrook Cemetery. 
The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. 
today at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Scott’s 
college fund.
