Ionia Sentinel-Standard - Jan. 15, 1974


Hiram I. Miller, 75 of 122 Peck Lake Road, died Tuesday morning at Ionia Manor.

Born October 13, 1898, in Gratiot County he was the son of Ross and Sarah 
Corttrel Miller. He was a farmer for 28 years and also employed at Michigan 
reformatory. He lived most of his life in the Ionia area.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Mary Simons of Grand Rapids and Mrs. Janet 
Culp of Ionia; nine grandchildren; brother, Herbert Miller of Saranac; two half-
brothers, Ross Miller, Jr., and William of Carson City; sister, Mrs. Louise 
Douglas of Lake Odessa; two half-sisters, Mrs. Imogene Denny of Lyons and Mrs. 
Leora Williams of Carson City.

Funeral services will be Thursday at 3:30 pm at Myers-Roetman funeral home. 
Rev. George Chaffee will officiate and interment will be at Saranac cemetery.

Family will be at the funeral home Tuesday and Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m.
