Ionia Sentinel-Standard - April 13, 2010


Joyce Lucille (Johnston) Miller, 53, of Ionia, went to be with her Lord on 
April 9, 2010. She was born Nov. 14, 1956, the daughter of Lawrence and Annie 
Johnston.

Joyce married Perry Miller in Ionia on July 22, 1973. She worked at Electrolux 
the 25 years. Joyce loved her family, cooking, taking care of her flowers and 
most of all, watching hummingbirds.

Joyce is survived by her husband; her son Lawrence J. Miller and her daughter 
Kim Marie Miller, both of Ionia; brother, Raymond (Cheryl) Johnston; sisters, 
Darlene (Mark) Esparza and Terri (Mike) Stemler, all from Ionia; father-in-law 
William Miller; and sisters-in-law Jackie (Robert) Adair and Betty Miller; also 
one very special granddaughter, Paige McGrudder; and several nieces and nephews.

Joyce was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Barbara Ann; brother-in-
law William Miller II; and mother-in-law Waverly Miller.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 15, at Shiloh 
Community Church with a luncheon following.
