Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard - Mon. March 1, 1976


PORTLAND – Leonard E. Miller, 60, of South Kent, died Sunday at St. Mary’s 
hospital in Grand Rapids.

He was born in Lansing May 9, 1915, the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Miller and 
came to Portland 30 years ago. He was a retired employee of Fisher Body of 
Lansing.

Surviving are his wife. Eleanor; two sons, John L. Miller of Lansing and Ralph 
of DeWitt; three stepsons, Douglas, David and Dennis Smith of Portland; four 
daughters, Mrs. Frances Hernly, Mrs. Judy Jugovich, Joan and Linda Miller, all 
of Portland; three step-daughters, Mrs. Rebecca Netzloff of Lansing, Mrs. 
Connie Lance and Mrs. Linda Helmer of Portland; 30 grandchildren; brother, 
Walter Miller of Lansing; sister, Mrs. Theresa Zimmer of Portland.

Services will be Wednesday at 1 pm at the Neller funeral home in Portland.

Rev. Maurice Christenson of Portland Baptist Church will officiate and 
interment will be at North Eagle Cemetery.
