Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard - Mon. June 29, 1942


Mrs. Fred Miller 71. Of Keene Township died Saturday morning at 10 o’clock in 
the Ingham county sanatorium after an illness of many months. She was born 
February 26, 1871, in Ionia County.

She is survived by her husband, Fred; four sons, Harold Carigon of Clarksville, 
Bert Carigon of Easton, Chester Carigon of Grattan and Emmet Carigon of Keene; 
five daughters, Mrs. Edythe Tripp of Midland, Mrs. Faye Hawley of Muir, Mrs. 
Fannie Harger of Gladwin, Mrs. Thelma Miller of Keene, and Mrs. Glennis 
Aspinall of Port Huron; five step-sons, Clyde Miller, Charles Miller, Clifford 
Miller, Manny Miller and Onie Miller; two step-daughters, Mrs. Clara Raymond 
and Mrs. Reatha Rogers; three brothers, Dan McCalla of Harrisville, William 
McCalla of Indian River and Vern McCalla of Bay City; one sister, Mrs. Myrtle 
Stuck, of Greenbush; 39 grandchildren, 27 step-grandchildren; 21 great 
grandchildren.

Prayer services will be held at the home of Bert Carigon of Keene at 1:30 
o’clock Tuesday, June 30. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. at the Old 
Mennonite Church in Clarksville and burial will be in the Mennonite Cemetery.
