Waverly N. Miller, 80, of Ionia passed away Feb. 13, 2010. She was born Sept. 
16, 1929, in Ionia, the daughter of Leslie and Myrtle (Hale) Alspaugh. Waverly 
married Joe Miller, July 27, 1946, in Lansing.

She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Joe Miller of Ionia; 
children, Betty Miller of Ionia, Jackie (Robert) Adair of Ionia, Perry (Joyce) 
Miller of Palo, Marcie Starkey of Ionia and Mike Miller of Ionia; step-mother 
Esther Alspaugh of DeWitt; brothers, Louis (Georgianna) Alspaugh of DeWitt and 
Gary (Karen) Alspaugh of Texas ; sister, Bonnie Robel of DeWitt; 14 
grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren and many 
nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Joe Miller Jr. and Mitch 
Miller; and one brother, Duane.

A funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday at Lake Funeral Home in Ionia 
with Pastor Cliff Allen officiating. The family will receive friends and 
relatives from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Anyone wishing to make
