Born February 12, 1886 in Mathews, Ind., she was the daughter of Amos and Matilda VandenThuysen Schwennesen. She came to the Clarksville area at 19. In 1902 she was married to Clayton Schwab, who died on May 13, 1948. She was then married to Elmer Miller in 1954 and he survives. Also surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Thomas Bellows of Lowell, Mrs. Harold Alderink, Clarksville and Mrs. Ward VanDyke of Grandville; son, Joseph Schwab of Lowell; one foster daughter, Mrs. Tressa Walthuis of Clarksville; one stepson, Austin Miller of Clarksville; 13 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Agusta Stace of Flint, Mrs. Rose Williams of Clare and Mrs. Clare Crider of Indianapolis, Ind. Mrs. Miller will be at Pickens funeral chapel in Clarksville until noon Wednesday when she will be taken to Clarksville Bible church for services at 1:30 p.m. Rev. Paul Boger and Rev. Daniel Zook will officiate. Interment will be at South Boston cemetery.
