Cora “Corky” Mae Miller, 71, of Lewiston, Mich., formerly of Lansing, passed 
away peacefully at home on Feb. 19, 2013 with her husband Jim by her side.

She was born on Jan. 29, 1942, the daughter of Howard and Marie (Dickerson) 
Southworth. On Aug. 17, 1974 Corky married James A. Miller in Grand Ledge, 
Mich. They operated Miller’s Party Store in Lansing for several years.

She is survived by her loving husband of 38 years, Jim Miller of Lewiston; son, 
Greg (Linda) Miller of Albion; daughter, Debbie (Mike) Funk of Battle Creek; 
daughter, Kammi (Mike) Dunn of Newaygo; son , Scott (Laura) Weaver of Sunfield; 
daughter, Marci Braman of Lansing; daughter, Sylvia (Ron) Lange of Bradenton, 
Fla; 15 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Marie Southworth; and 
siblings, Evelyn Silvernail; Rosie Sprank; and Earl Southworth.

As were her wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be a memorial service 
at 11 a.m. May 28 at North Plains Community Church.
