Ionia Sentinel Standard, 5 Feb 1935

Miss Carrie Miller, 73, died Monday afternoon at 1 o’clock following an illness
of the past two years.  She was born in Lyons in 1863, and spent most of her
early life there.  Her father died when she was still young, and when a young
lady she went to Detroit, where she was employed for a number of years.  Later
she returned to Ionia county, and resided with her cousins, Mrs. Laura Fitch, of
Lyons, and at the Albert Keefer home in Ionia.  She had been in failing health
for the past two years.

Surviving are two nephews, Joseph White, of Collins, and Frank Peters, of Flint;
one niece, Mrs. Esther Routsong, of Traverse City, and two cousins, Mrs. Laura
Fitch, of Lyons, and Albert Keefer, East Main street.

Funeral services will be held from the Stone funeral home Wednesday afternoon at
2 o’clock.  Burial in the mausoleum.
