Ionia Daily Sentinel Standard, 28 Jan 1974

A former Ionia area resident, Mrs. Elsie B. Miller, 85, died Sunday morning at
the Upjohn Community Nursing home in Kalamazoo.  Born in [unreadable] April 20,
1888, she was the daughter of August and Mary Bielow Storch and moved to Ionia
as a child with her family.  She attended the St. Johns Lutheran Church and
school and was a member of the church.  September 24, 1912, she was married to
William C. Miller and made her home here until he died June 12, 1962.  She moved
to Kalamazoo in 1966.

Surviving are a son, Norman Miller of Parchment, and daughter, Mrs. Helena
Travis of Ionia; 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; sister, Mrs. Clara
Bauer of Royal Oak.

Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Leddick funeral home.  Rev. Marvin
Barz of St. Peter Lutheran Church in Riley will officiate and interment will be
at Highland Park cemetery.  Committal services will be at the funeral home.  A
memorial has been established for St. Johns Lutheran Church of Ionia or Upjohn
Community Nursing home at Kalamazoo.
