Ionia Sentinel-Standard - Thurs. Aug. 15, 2013

K. O. Miller, 91, of Ionia passed away Aug. 14, 2013. He was born Aug. 23, 
1921, the son of Charles and Jenny Miller.

K. O. served in the U. S. Army during WWII. He would then go on to marry Myrtle 
Longdyke May 20, 1963.

K. O. worked for the railroad as a Heavy Equipment Operator until retirement in 
1982.

He was a member of the AM vets and the Ionia VFW Post.

K. O. is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Myrtle Miller, of Ionia; his 
children, Leona (Gale) Zander of Orleans, Karen (Lewis) Freeman of Georgia, 
Bonnie Story of Georgia, Debbie (Jack) Kruis of Grand Rapids, Doug Bowen of 
Ionia and Kenny Morgan of Ionia. Several grandchildren, great grandchildren and 
great great grandchildren also survive.  He was preceded in death by his 
parents; one daughter, Jean Tompkins; two brothers and one sister.

Funeral services for K. O. will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 17, 2013 at 
the Lake Funeral Home in Ionia, with Pastor Jeff Smith officiating. Interment 
will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the 
time of services Saturday.
