Miller, 60, of Price street, died Sunday evening at 6:45 o'clock in Blodgett Memorial hospital where he had been a patient for the past 10 weeks, receiving treatment for stomach ulcers. He was born in Kent county, May 2, 1884, the son of Jacob and Anna Miller, December 25, 1918, he was married to Gladys Richard of Comins. The couple had resided in Ionia for the past 26 years where Mr. Miller had been employed by the Ypsilanti Reed Furniture company for the same number of years. Twin daughters preceded him in death in 1936 and a brother, Charley Miller died three weeks ago. Surviving are his wife, Gladys, a daughter, Arlene, at home; two sons, Elmer R. Miller of Ionia and Pvt. Vernon C. Miller, stationed at Camp Fannin, Tex.; three brothers, Harrison Miller of Ionia, Lester Miller of Wayland and Ransom Miller of Flint; four sisters, Mrs. Harvey Stutzman of Goshen, Ind., Mrs. Hance Winton of Fairview and Mrs. Otis Bontrager and Miss Jennie Miller, both of Comins. Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Myers funeral home where the body reposes. Burial will be in Easton cemetery.
