Miller, age 85, passed away February 11, 2013 in Lansing, Michigan. Arlene was born July 25, 1927 in Howell Township the daughter of George and Ruth (Brown) Warren. She married Richard John Miller, Sr. on September 21, 1948, and he preceded her in death on March 7, 1983. Arlene retired from Consumers Energy, following the death of her husband Richard. After retirement Arlene moved to eh winter home she shared with her husband in Tavares, Florida. She resided there for 32 years. In November 2011 Arlene moved back to Michigan to be with her family. Arlene loved to fish, ride bikes, go walking with friends, enjoyed reading maps, national geographic, bird watching , and an avid baseball fan and never missed watching a game on T.V., her sense of humor will be missed greatly. Arlene is survived by her Son, Richard John Miller Jr. (Flora) of Vermontville, granddaughter JoElla Miller-Zimmerman (Michael) of Portland, 8 great grandchildren, Emily and Trevor Draper, Ava and Owen Zimmerman, Step great grandchildren Kevin, Brian, Tyler and Nathan Zimmerman. Arlene's surviving best friends are Eloise and Jack Gilbert of Portland. Her extended Florida family who watched over her well being, Jim and Linda Kemmer, Hanna and Joe Muschaweck, Bill Mohler, Carolyn McMunn, and all of her club house friends at Mobile Home Estates. Arlene was also preceded him death by her brother Roger Warren. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Larry King at 1:00 p.m. Friday, February 15, 2013 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Portland. Rite of Committal will take place at a later date in Portland Cemetery.
