Dec. 1, 1958 PIERCE MILLER Pierce (Pius) Miller, 85, died Saturday at 9:15 at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Clark Hogan of 407 Center street. He had been in ill health the past two years and seriously ill for two days. Mr. Miller was born in Dusseldorf, Germany, December 17, 1872, the son of Constantine and Dorothy Miller, and came to Detroit at the age of seven. He moved to Westphalia, where he lived until his marriage, November 17, 1899 to Louise F. Fox. they resided in Pewamo until 1922 when they made their home the past eight years with his daughter, Mrs. Clark Hogan. Mr. Miller was sexton at Mt. Olivet cemetery for 16 years, prior to his retirement. He was a member of SS. Peter and Paul church and the holy Name Society. Surviving are five sons, Norman of Pewamo, Mark of Jackson, Leonard of Ionia, Clarence of Wakefield and Edgar of Fairborn, Ohio; three daughters, Mrs. Ida McNeely and Mrs. Clark Hogan of Ionia and Mrs. Helen Lee of Detroit; one sister, Mrs. Cecilia Rademacher of St. Johns; 18 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Rosary will be recited at Boynton's funeral home Monday, at 7:30 p.m. funeral mass will be held at SS. Peter and Paul church, Tuesday at 9 a.m. Additional Comments: Mt.
