VERNARD MILLER
SARANAC - Vernard Miller, 71, known as John, of 7421 Bluewater highway, Saranac, was
pronounced dead on arrival at Butterworth hospital in Grand Rapids Saturday evening.
He had suffered a fatal hart attack.

Born January 19, 1902, in Ionia county he was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Alonzo Miller
and was a resident of Saranac area all his life.

April 12, 1924, he was married in Orange township to Lillian Pemberton and she died
October 11, 1970.

He was a plumber in Saranac many years and was employed by Saranac manufacturing 
company nine years.

Surviving are seven daughters, Mrs. Mazie Ingersoil of Lowell. Mrs. Dorothy Dean of
Saranac, Mrs. Geraldine Goodenough of Mulliken, Mrs. Virginia Magee of Grand Rapids,
Mrs. Marcella Wells and Mrs. Patricia Bailey of Sunfield and Mrs. Jeanne Detgen of
Ionia; 28 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; three brothers George Miller of
Belding, Ernest of Sturgis and Hullie of Saranac; sister, Mrs. Mazie Deer of Sturgis.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 2 pm at Morris-Roetman funerlahome in Saranac.

Interment will be at Saranac cemetery.

Family will be at the funeral home Monday and Tuesday from 7 to 9 pm.
