She was born in Woodland Township Sept. 26, 1887, daughter of Henry and Elizabeth (Reahm) Gerlinger, and attended Eckardt Rural School. She resided in Woodbury following her marriage to Jacob Miller of Woodbury. He passed away about 1930, Mrs. Miller was a house mother at the Veterans of Foreign Wars National Home at Eaton Rapids for more then 20 years, retiring in 1952. She then moved to Hastings. Surviving are two nieces, Mrs. Stuart (Pauline) Clement of Hastings and Mrs. Arthur (Laura) Statsick of the Provincial House, Hastings and foremerly of Lake Odessa, and two nephews. Russell Gerlinger of Hastings and Carl Gerlinger of Lake Odessa. Funeral services were held Friday at 1:30 at Leonard-Osgood Funeral Home of Hastings. Rev. Kenneth Vaught, pastor of Hope United Methodist Church, officiating, with burial in Lakeside Cemetery.
