MILLER
Norma Ruth Miller loving wife, mother and grandmother went home to be with her 
Lord on September 9, 2017 at the age of 89 years.

Norma was born on January 12, 1928 in North Kingsville, Ohio the daughter of 
Seth and Irma (Bugby) Shank, and into the family of 2 sisters and a 
brother.Growing up in the Adrian, MI area, Norma met Theo Miller and they dated 
thru high school, soon fell in love and were married April 2, 1948.

Norma and Theo loved in the Saranac area most of their married life where they 
raised 3 sons Greg (Penny), Gaylord (Vicki) and Geoff (Lisa). The family 
continued to grow and has been blessed with 9 grandchildren; Shannon Miller, 
Tafra DeBisschop, Seth Miller, Joel Miller, Kendra Laubenthal, Tiana Miller, 
Theo miller, Andrea Ward, Allison Miller. 13 Great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years Theo, her parents, 2 
sisters and a grandson.

Norma was an accomplished quilt maker, receiving several 1st place awards at the 
State fair. Many of the quilts she had sewn with love and attention to detail 
are still being enjoyed by her family. She enjoyed planting flowers, gardening 
and canning the produce.

She was an active member of Galilee Baptist church in Saranac and Mom who prayed 
for her family daily.

Cremation has taken place and at this time there will be no services. A family 
celebration of Norma's life will be planned for a later date. Norma will be 
greatly missed by her family. Arrangements by Lake Funeral Home in Ionia. Online
