PEWAMO- Mary Ellen Miller, 79, of 475 South State, Pewamo, died March 2, at 
her residence.

she was born Feb. 23, 1909, in Stanton, the daughter of John and Carolyn 
Heinrich Nemetz.

She lived in Pewamo all her lifetime and was married to Norman Miller, Nov. 
2, 1934, in Ionia.

She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Pewamo. She was a partner 
in the Miller Upholstery in Pewamo for 43 years.

Surviving are her husband, Norman; one son, Jerome Miller of Pewamo; three 
grandchildren; two brothers, Emerson Nemetz of Lansing, Glenn Nemetz of 
Ionia; five sisters, Inez Kupris of Florida, Lillian Hyler of St. Johns, 
Joyce Houserman of Ionia, Marie Miller of Ionia, Zava Smejkal of Fenwick.

Funeral service will be at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Pewamo on 
Saturday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Isidro Gargantiel officiating. Burial will 
be in St. Joseph Cemetery.

Rosary will be at 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. Thursday and Friday at the Goerge Chapel 
of the Osgood Funeral Home, Fowler.
