Lake O. Wave, Thurs. Aug. 30, 1960

LAKE ODESSA- James Warren Miller, 83, of Perry Road, Lake Odessa, died Thursday 
evening at Blodgett Hospital in Grand Rapids, where he had been a patient for 
one day. He was born in Irving, Mi., in 1896, the son of James and Mary Miller.

Mr. Miller attended school in Lake City and moved to Lake Odessa at the age of 
16. He married Benita Clum on Jan. 10, 1921, in Lake Odessa. He lived and farmed 
in Lake Odessa.

He was a member of the Clarksville Bible Church.

Survivors include his wife, Benita, and their children, Jean and Paul Parish and 
Charles and Joy Miller, all from Grand Rapids; his granddaughter, Karen Burkett 
and her husband Steve, of Tucson, Ariz.; nine other grandchildren and two great-
grandchildren; one sister, Flora Cavanaugh of Lake City; two brothers, Arthur of 
McBain and Ward of Lake City; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at the Clarksville Bible Church 
with the Rev. Paul Boger and the Rev. Elwood Norton officiating. Burial was in 
the Clarksville Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Clarksville Missionary fund.
