                    A SAD DEATH

  One of Woodland's Beautiful Young Ladies Passes Away this Morning.

The residents of this village were painfully surprised this morning to learn of 
the death of the beautiful and beloved Daisy Miller, daughter of Mr.and Mrs. 
Daniel A.Miller. Several weeks ago Miss Miller went to Eau Claire,Mich., to 
assist in caring for relatives who were afflicted with typhoid fever. Those who 
had the pleasure of her acquaintance will know the disinterested feeling for 
self which prompted her in her work.Ten days ago the doctor in attendance upon 
the family warned her of an oncoming attack of the fever and she hurried home to 
her parents. For several days she was up around the house, but was finally 
compelled to take to the bed from which she never was able to arise. Medical aid 
was summoned and everything possible done to alleviate her sufferings and 
restore her to health, but at 5 o'clock this morning the Angel of Death 
beckoned, and the pride of the family passed to that bourne from which no 
traveler returns, leaving a bereaved family and an unlimited number of friends, 
who admired her for her winning ways and sterling worth, to mourn her 
death.Deceased was 18 years old and in the full bloom of her young womanhood; 
was a member of the M.E.church of this village, and a prominent worker int he 
Epworth League.The sorrowing family have the heartfelt sympathies of the entire 
community.
