He worked as a master carpenter and his handy work is spread throughout the area. He was an accomplished pilot with many family cross country flights to several states.His live of airplanes was never ending with 20 years of vacations to Oshkosh for the EAA event.His most memorable event was a ride in a B-17 Bomber, Another passion was horses. Starting out as a hobby soon turned into racing quaeree hoses culminating in a state champion gelding named "Same Like". Having two sons and two grandsons who were race car drivers, at the young age of 68, he decided to try his hand at it. Adding a feature win to his accomplishments. He was preceded in death by his wife, Janice and brother,Lyle Miller. Survived by sons, Dale(Louise)and Mike; grandkids, Jeff (special friend Nicole), KeVin (Kristin), Andrea (Michael)Blake; great-grandkids, Kylee, Alexandria, Ahna Colby, Corina, Allison (Patrick) Dylan, Skylher, Colton and Benny; great-great- grandkids, Arya, Luca, Scarlett and Ayla; brothers, Eldon, Lloyd and Duane. A visitation was held Saturday June 7, 2025. David was then laid to rest at Bowne Mennonite Cemetery next to Janice. Additional Comments: Bowne Mennonite Cem. Ada,Mich.
