The Portland Observer, Wednesday, March 11, 1903
Mrs. Benjamin Miller died at her home in Sebewa on the 8th inst., aged 70 
years and 5 months.  She was a native of Ohio where she was married to Mr. 
Miller on Christmas 1852.  He died a few months ago.  They came to Michigan in 
1865, and settled on the farm in Sebewa where they both died.  They were the 
parents of a family of children which comprised nine girls and two boys, but 
only six of whom survive and mourn the loss of a kind and affectionate 
mother.  She was a faithful wife, a true Christian and a kind neighbor.  
Funeral services were conducted from the house Tuesday forenoon by Rev. Stone 
of Portland U. B. church.
