Sentinel-Std. - Wednesday, Nov. 30, 1960

Mrs. Anna M. Miller, 73, was found dead at her home at 449 Pleasant street 
Tuesday about 3:30 p.m. by Sheriff Peter Van Vleck and Chief Ralph Johnson. 
Coroner Neil Phelps said death was due to natural causes and indicated Mrs. 
Miller died last Friday  night or early Saturday morning.

Deputy Johnson had gone to Mrs. Miller's house to serve a paper earlier Tuesday 
but could not find her. Later Sheriff Van Vleck accompanied Johnson so the 
house. They saw a light burning inside and after obtaining a ladder looked into 
the kitchen where they saw the kitchen light on and a gas burner on the stove 
operating. They obtained a back door key and entered. They found Mrs. Miller 
dead in bed.

She was born September 12, 18887 in Ionia township, the daughter of Hiram H. 
and Nettie Bishop, and had lived her entire life in Ionia county.

She was married in 1901 to Vernon Tucker who preceded her in death. In 1927 she 
was married to Charles Miller.

Mrs. Miller was a member of Blue Star Mothers.

She is survived by a son, Milo Tucker of Sheridan and two brothers, Henry and 
Norman Bishop of Saginaw.

Services will be conducted at the Boynton funeral home Friday at 1:30 P.M. with 
the Rev. Floyd Emshwiller officiating. Interment will be at Highland park 
cemetery.
