Miller, 69, of 342 Libhart? Street, Lyons, died Friday morning in Butterworth Hospital, Grand Rapids. Born Sept. 26, 1915, in Edmore he was the son of George and Hazel Miller. He attended Ionia High School. He was married to Arlene Gladding May 26, 1937. Employed by the Home and Holland furnace companies of Ionia, he later worked and subsequently owned and operated the Muir Lumberyard, and he and his family had made their home in Lyons for the past 45 years. Surviving are his wife; two sons, Larry of Lyons and Philip of Muir; five grandchildren; one great grandchild; his mother, Hazel Miller of Lyons; two brothers, Roy of Ionia and Cliff of Lyons; and one sister, Mrs. Bert (June) Fitch of Lyons. Funeral services will be Monday at 1 p.m. from the Lyons Baptist Church, with the Rev. Paul Carmichael officiating. Burial will be in Kiefer Cemetery. A memorial has been established for the Youth Scholarship Fund of the Lyons Baptist Church, in care of Hull Memorial Chapel. Until 11 a.m. Monday, the body will repose at Hull Memorial Chapel.
