Ionia Sentinel Standard, 29 Aug 1980

Catherine E. Miller, 50, of West Peck Lake Road, rural Ionia, died early Wednesday
morning at Ionia County Memorial Hospital.  She was born in Saranac Sept. 14, 1929
the daughter of Ivan and Louise Morrison Monks.

She attended schools in Saranac.  She was married to Charles Miller and they made
their home in the Saranac area.  He preceded her in death Oct. 10, 1970.

She is survived by two sons, Gene and Ivan, both of Ionia; four daughters, Katherine
Miller of Hubbardston, Mrs. Darrell (Elizabeth Marie) Stedman of Cedar Springs, Mrs.
Dorothy Beckhorn of Ionia and Mrs. Harry (Betty) Birt of Ionia; six grandchildren;
two brothers, Lawrence Monks of Alto and Melnott Monks of Belding.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. from the Leddick Funeral Home with
the Rev. James Frank of the Galilee Baptist Church of Saranac officiating.  Burial
will be in Saranac Cemetery.  The family will be at the funeral home to receive
friends and relatives Thursday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.
