Death of William Miller

William Miller was born in Saranac, January 31, 1923 and died November 14, at the
university hospital at Ann Arbor.  He had been ill ten days with appendicitis.  He
was a fifth grade student in Saranac school and a bright little boy.  He leaves his
mother, Mrs. Alice Blanchard, a sister, Mildred Miller, a half sister grace
Blanchard, of this place and his father, Loyd Miller and his grandfather, William
Gowen.  The funeral was held Friday afternoon at two o’clock with Rev. E.H. Humphrey
officiating.  The pall bearers were high school pupils, Gerald Dodds, Norman and
Donald Kimble, Donald Houserman, N.K. Jepson and Maynard Bartlett.  Burial was in
the Saranac cemetery.
