Ionia Sentinel, 26 Apr 1872

Rev. Louis Mill died on Friday last.  He was an old resident, having removed from 
Howell to Ionia over twenty years ago.  He was first pastor of the Presbyterian 
church.  Mr. Mills was a delegate from Grand River Presbytery to the General 
Assembly of the Presbyterian Church held at New York and Pittsburgh in 1869, 
which consummated the union between the Old and New School branches of that 
organization.  Mr. M. was on the train on the Grand Rapids & Indiana Railroad at 
the time the accident occurred some two weeks since, and his death is thought to 
have been hastened by the shock to his system received at that time.
