Ionia Daily Sentinel Standard, 10 Apr 1937

Edward L. Mills, 77, born February 4, 1860, brother of Kate L. Mills and Mrs.
Bessie M. Johnson, died at his home at 360 Union street, at about 9 o’clock
Saturday morning.

Except for a period of seven years, when he was a mechanical draftsman in the
patent office at Washington, DC, and for a short time when patent attorney in
Grand Rapids, he has been a life long resident of Ionia.  He had been in poor
health for a number of years but was able to be about until taken ill last
Tuesday.  His sisters are the only immediate survivors.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, April 13 at 3 o’clock from the home. 
Interment will be at Oak Hill cemetery.
