Ionia Sentinel Standard, 15 Nov 1982

Catherine I. Mills, 61, of 9271 Riverside Drive, Saranac, died Saturday in Grand
Rapids Osteopathic Hospital.  Born July 11, 1921, in Mecosta County, she was the
daughter of Orin and Mildred Moore Degroat.  She attended Ionia schools and had
lived in Saranac for the past 25 years.  She was married to George W. Mills Sr.
in Ionia March 1, 1946.  He survives.

Also surviving are two sons, George W. Mills Jr. of Trufant and Roy L. Wills of
Ionia; five daughters, Mrs. Donald (Catheryn) Hewitt of Saranac, Mrs. Robert
(Suzanne) Daily of Whitehall, Mrs. Donald (Mary Caroline) Daniels of Lakeview,
Mrs. Lloyd (Robbie) Mutschler of Clarksville, and Mrs. Clarence (Roxie) Reynolds
of Ionia; two sisters, Mrs. Retha Morrow of Saranac and Mrs. Leo (Mary
Catherine) Allen of Ionia; 21 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. from the Lake Funeral Home, the
Rev. James Frank of Galilee Baptist Church officiating.  Burial will be in
Saranac Cemetery.  The family will be at the funeral home Tuesday from 2 to 4
p.m. and 7 to 8:30 p.m.
