He had been in failing health for several years. Mr. Milton was born in Richmond, Indiana, and came to Ionia more than 40 years ago. He was employed at the old Bailey House for about 18 years and at the Ionia post office for about two years. Twenty-two years ago he bought the Plaza Hotel in which he was still a partner at the time of his death. In 1942 he sold a part interest in the hotel to Mr. and Mrs. Glen DeNise of Muskegon but continued his association with the hotel. Mr. Milton is survived by two daughters, Helen Milton, Detroit, and Edith Nobles, Grand Rapids; a sister, Mrs. Lillian Brown, of Ionia, and two brothers, Alex of Chicago and Omer of Ann Arbor.
