Bernadine G. Minaker, 89, of Saranac, formerly of Ionia died May 11, 1998 in
Lansing.  She was born March 22, 1909 in Millersburg, Mich., the daughter of
Edward and Emilia (Walker) McCusker.  She married Anthony Bruce Minaker on June
10, 1927.  He preceded her in death July 9, 1978.
She is survived by her sons Charles and Linda Minaker of Sparta, Jim and
Gardenia Minaker of Battle Creek, Bob and Betty Minaker of Muskegon; her
daughters Betty Delinski of Indiana, Roberta Minaker of Stanton, Ella Mae and
Harry Dunham of Oregon, Jane and Robert Gachter of Stanton, Jacqueline Morris of
Belding, Bonnie and Wayne Thomas of Fenwick, Marian Hagerman of Ionia, and Lois
Lund of Stanton; her sister, Nellie Thurston of Pontiac, 53 grandchildren and
several great grandchildren, special niece Mary Thomas and special friend Mary
Lou Welch.

She was preceded in death by two sons Elmer and Bill Minaker, her brother Ervin,
sister Flossie, and granddaughter Tamara Thomalson.  Funeral services will be
held Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. at the Lake Funeral Home in Saranac.
